Meals

 

We are a "Breakfast in the Classroom" school.  Breakfast is provided free of charge by the Office of School Nutrition.  Students eat breakfast in their classroom starting at 8:00 a.m. and are supervised by their teachers.

 

 

School lunch is provided free of charge to all students. All parents, regardless of income, must complete a School Meals Form to ensure our schools receive federal funding for this program and others. Please complete the form online at https://www.myschoolapps.com/ as soon as possible. A hard copy of the form will also be sent home and is available at your school’s main office.

Students may also bring their lunch from home.  Please do not send any food in glass containers or any food that requires heating. If your child only eats a home-cooked meal, please send that meal with your child in the morning. Unless there is an emergency, we highly discourage parents from bringing lunch for their children during the school day, as this practice disrupts the normal process. School aides typically supervise lunch. 

P.S. 51 Q is a nut-free school.  Please do not send any food to school that contains nuts.
