Visitor Policy

Any visitor who comes into the building must stop at the security desk, sign in, and show proper identification.  The visitor will be given a pass to the main office only. The secretary or school aide will announce the visitor.  Any destination point beyond the office will be handled with the proper pass and announcement.

When parents do not have proper identification, the DOE recommends that rather than turning them away and denying them access to their child's school, the safety agent shall ask the principal or parent coordinator (or other designee) to accompany those parents to the stated designation. Once the parents’ business at the school has been completed, that same person will escort the parents back to the safety agent’s desk to exit the building.

Any person doing work in the building must have a proper ID tag.
